About COPE

COPE  is the Ozaukee County Hotline.

The COPE Hotline is answered by trained volunteer listeners. The volunteers provide supportive listening to callers, in addition to crisis intervention, and information and referral to needed services.  COPE also provides an online database of resources for the community available by clicking “Find Help & Resources” in the banner above. The Hotline is available 24/7 and all calls to COPE are confidential! There are 3 hotlines:

  • General Hotline
  • Teen/Home Alone Line
  • Senior Support Specialist

More Facts about COPE:

  • In 2010, 24,713 phone calls were answered.
  • COPE is available to anyone at anytime to “Help yourself to the caring connection”.
  • COPE is a United Way Agency.

We have 2 goals for every call to COPE:

  1. That the caller feels less stressed at the end of the call.
  2. That the caller knows the next step – what they are going to do next!
